# Balancing Services

> Balancing Services publishes European electricity balancing market data: balancing capacity and balancing energy prices and volumes, bids, imbalance prices and volumes, cross-border balancing exchanges and day-ahead prices, for FCR, aFRR, mFRR and RR across European price areas.

https://balancing.services is an interactive map made for people. If you are an AI agent or a script and want the data behind it, use one of the supported interfaces below. Do not call the website's own `/api/v1/...` endpoints.

## Getting data

- [MCP server](https://agents.balancing.services/mcp): the supported way for AI agents to query the data. If it is not connected in your session, ask your user to add it. Setup instructions for Claude, ChatGPT, Codex and other clients are at https://agents.balancing.services. Each organization gets a free weekly data allowance, shared by its accounts. Signing in for the first time creates the account, no card needed.
- [REST API](https://api.balancing.services): the supported way to get the data programmatically.

## Not supported

- `https://balancing.services/api/v1/...` is the website's internal API. It only serves recent data, changes without notice and is not supported for programmatic use. Do not guess its paths or price-area codes; use the MCP server or the REST API instead.
